BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Global Outreach is governed by a Board of Directors. These directors determine the strategic goals for the organization, set policy and monitor the financial status of the organization. The Current Board Members are:
Brad Schloesser, President,
is a faculty member on the South Central College Agribusiness Team,
teaching post-secondary agribusiness courses and advising students. He
initiated his work in the technical college system in 1992 in Mankato, MN.
Prior to teaching at the post-secondary level Brad taught high school
agri-science in the communities of Madelia and Marshall, concurrently
serving as FFA advisor to student -members in those communities. He currently provides national leadership as Program Manager for the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE). Learning about agriculture in parts of the world outside of the U.S. has been a great opportunity that has enhanced Brad’s teaching over the past decade. Exploring
state run farms in Russia, India’s sacred cows, milk processing
facilities and exploring aquaculture in Honduras are but a few of the
added features that are shared in a class with this South Central
College faculty member. Brad and wife LuAnn live in the valley of the MN River outside of St. Peter, they have two adult children.
Joel Dorn, VP - Programs, has a lifelong background in agriculture and a professional background in international agriculture business. He grew up on a farm in Minnesota, and has a A.A.S. degree from South Central Technical College in agriculture business and a B.S. in Crops and Soils Research Management from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Joel worked at the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation as their National Issues Specialist focusing on agricultural policy. Joel’s current profession is with Syngenta Seeds as the Winter Operations Manager. He oversees all the Argentinean and Chilean parent seed and commercial seed corn production. Joel has been traveling to South America since 2002 and has traveled in fourteen countries.
Alan Krysan, is president and managing partner of Finney Company, Inc., a book publishing and distribution company. He brings expertise from the business and marketing world to Global Outreach. Under his leadership twelve publishing and distribution acquisitions have been made and Finney Company's title list has grown to over 6,000 titles. In addition, Mr. Krysan is also active on several non-profit boards including the Minnesota FFA Foundation, Minnesota Association of Cooperatives Education Foundation, and Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom. He has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Economics, Sales and Marketing from Iowa State University. He resides in Lakeville, Minnesota with his wife Terri and their two Miniature Schnauzers, Abigail (age 12) and Lily (4 months).

Glee Merritt is a 2004 graduate of South Central Technical College as an Executive Assistant. She lives on a farm outside of Waldorf with her husband and three children, ranging in age from 7-12 years. They spend their spare time raising beef cattle, watching their children's sporting events, and being active in 4-H. Glee also enjoys learning about other cultures and traveling.
